1000-hour Yoga Therapist

Prana Vinyasa® School of Yoga hosts Therapeutic Yoga-International Training Programs.  All programs at Pranavinyasa School train teachers under a definite, pre-defined curriculum and are taught by experienced instructors in direct contact with Yoga teacher trainees. 

Pre-requisite for 1000-hour Therapeutic Yoga Studies: 

Graduation from a 500-hour Yoga Alliance Registered School.  

Therapeutic Yoga-International Training Reguirements

    (750 & 1000-hour diploma programs):

 

Requirements subject to change based of IAYT Standards.

1. 1.  Attendance at workshops -  300 contact/credit hours plus 25 Apprenticeship hours  with a Yoga Therapist (all hours described are in addition to 500-hour training):

1. •Techniques & Methodology - 140 hours (75 from 750-hour program)
   

2. •Anatomy & Physiology -  100 hours (75 from 750-hour program)
   

3. •Philosophy, Lifestyle & Ethics - 60 hours  (30 from 750-hour program)
   

  

             Non-Contact (200-hours)

1. •Practicum - Externship & Case Studies
   

2.    Video Demonstration of teaching skills / alternative:

                Observed class/therapeutic session.

3. 3.   Submit Application for Diploma to Graduation Review Committee.
