

Prana Vinyasa® Yoga Alliance Registered Programs:
500-hour Training
Pre-requisite: Graduation from a 200-hour Yoga Alliance Registered School. All 500-hour applicants
must complete a 200-hour program that is Yoga Alliance registered prior to beginning Advanced Studies
500-hour Training. The 500-hour program consist of 200-hour training plus 300 additional advanced
training hours meeting Yoga Alliance standards for 500-hour registration.
Graduation requirements are:
1) Prana Vinyasa® School of Yoga Teacher Training Workshops:
Attendance at workshops - 20 hours each/ 450 total training workshop

Advanced 500-hour workshops required for graduation:
• Pranayama II
• Teaching Experienced & Advanced Students
• Teaching Unique Bodies, Seniors & Special Populations
• Rhythmic Breathing, Rhythmic Flow
• Forward Folds & Vinyasa Flow
• Back Bends & Vinyasa Flow
• Anatomy in Motion (Anatomy & Physiology of Yoga II)
• Hatha Yoga Pradipika
• Effortless Observation II
Additional topics (Electives: select to complete required hours):
• Healthy Back, Healthy Spine
• Chakras, Mudras & Bandhas
• Meditation and Pranayama
• Pranayama II (prerequisite: meditation and pranayama)
• Meditation II (prerequisite: meditation and pranayama)
• Prana, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, Flow and Power Yoga II (10 hours)
• Karma Yoga: Yoga for Special Populations (10 hours)
Each 500 hour workshop offers 20 contact hours unless otherwise indicated.
Each workshop contains specific number of hours in Techniques, Methodology, Anatomy,
Philosophy and Practicum as defined by Yoga Alliance. Full attendance at each
workshop is required or a makeup (tutored) session must scheduled.
2)In addition to workshops and workshop contact/credit hours:
50 classroom hours are required. These hours are from approved Yoga Conferences, workshops and classes with qualified instructors**. Documented attendance required - use tracking grid.
Hours taken outside the program may qualify for application toward required 50 classroom**
3) Reading and Workshop Assignments (homework) assigned after each workshop.
4) Journal of teaching, practice and workshop/class attendance.
5) CPR and First Aid training.
6) Demonstration of teaching skills and 100 hours of documented teaching.
7) Submit Application for Diploma to Graduation Review Committee.
